Also in Brno, similar to what we know from Prague’s Ďáblice Cemetery, opponents of the communist regime were buried in a way that even their close ones did not know the location of their final resting place. The fates of Petra Křivka, a participant in three resistance movements and personal guard of President Edvard Beneš, political prisoner Jan Křižan, and others will be recalled by historian Luděk Navara, who will guide us through the Central Cemetery.

At the end of the walk, we will visit the restored tombstone of writer Guido Glück, who helped Germans fleeing the growing Nazism in the 1930s. His life will be introduced by Jana Urbanovská from the Faculty of Social Studies at Masaryk University, who played a key role in restoring the tombstone.

The event will be held only in Czech.

This event is organized in cooperation with the Tourist Information Center of the City of Brno.
