Regional Court in Brno
The end of the war did not only bring the long-awaited peace, but also raised a number of important questions for society. How should we deal with the Nazis? Are we responsible for what our homeland and our compatriots do in our name?
Brno was the first city to establish an extraordinary people’s court after the war. It is even said to have been set up as a barrier against spontaneous trials and executions. What is justice, and how do we confront the darker sides of our past?
Audiences will have the opportunity to participate in one of these extraordinary trials – in the courtroom of the Regional Court, where the trial actually took place.
