Following the footsteps of history in the streets of today
IWalk is an educational app that combines the unique film testimonies of Holocaust survivors from all over the world with the context of the everyday space in which we live. We can hear the witnesses’ testimonies in places that allow us to understand that what for us is the present in the future will be merely a past. In the same way we assess the pass, our descendants will judge our own decisions and actions – or inaction – when faced with evil. An IWalk is being developed in Brno. The collaboration between OpenEye, Meeting Brno and the Endowment Fund for the Construction and Operation of the Holocaust Documentation Centre in Moravia will create a unique, locally relevant multi-media educational resource. On the walk today, you’ll discover some of the stations of the future IWalk, the process of preparing the app, and the relevance of these places today.
Meeting point: třída Kapitána Jaroše 31 (formerly Legionářská 31)
