Meeting Brno 2018 focused on a review of the centenary history of the modern Czech/Slovak state and, along with that, on an assessment of the milestones that have significantly influenced its direction. We looked at the years 1918, 1938, 1948, 1968 and 1989, which marked the promotion, or on the contrary, the shattering or suppression of democratic values.
