A pedestrian walk on třída Kapitána Jaroše street of total length about 1 kilometer is part of the production. There are two places where you can sit down.

The Brno theater is historically closely associated with the history of the German theater. Productions of professional and amateur Czech, German, and Jewish theater makers followed one another, missed each other, and coexisted for more than 300 years. During World War II and the Communist era, the Czech-German contexts sank into oblivion. In the site-specific production Schauspiel, you will be able to imagine and bring them back for a moment. Through the true story of the actor, poet, journalist, and theater secretary Gustav Bondi, you will experience the busy interwar multicultural city of Brno.

At the beginning of the century, Gustav Bondi worked in many Austro-Hungarian theaters, but after the establishment of Czechoslovakia, he settled in Brno and became one of the most active initiators of the local German and Jewish art community. Based on documents that prove his warm relationships with representatives of the Czech cultural scene, e.g., his letters to Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk or his last will, the director Jiří Honzírek has created a unique production to present not only Bondi and his family, but also the places where they lived. The production will begin in the Kabinet Múz theater and then the audience and the actors will walk through the streets of Brno.
