THE SPACE FORUM: Cosmic Activities of the Czech Republic

Tuesday / 05. 06. 2018
kongresové centrum hotelu Holiday Inn

10:00 - 18:00

The air is our sea, said Tomáš Baťa. "It is time for Baťa's inspiration to finally be realized and to appreciate our own actions, in our own time, and in our own space, i.e. our national business environment," says prof. Milan Zelený. The Czech Republic is working closely with ESA, the European Space Agency, to develop space activities and development institutions. ESA is one of the pillars of the Czech space industry initiative, as is the GSA European Agency for Satellite Navigation, which has been based in Prague since 2012 and manages the European Galileo project from there. In the year of the 10th anniversary of ESA's cooperation with the Czech Republic, we will present the results of this activity and the Czech Republic’s involvement in the European Galileo, EGNOS and Copernicus projects.

Guests of the debate:

Karel Dobeš (Czech government commissioner for cooperation with the GSA), Marek Aldorf (CzechInvest), Pavel Harbarta (TC AV), Daniel Lopour (GSA), Pavel Sobotka (Frentech), Ota Horák (S.A.B & SpoluWorks), Luděk Nechleba (Honeywell), Milan Šlapák (GE Aviation)

Chaired by Zdeněk Bílek, Ambasador of the Czech Managers Association.

The programme takes place in cooperation with Prof. Milan Zelený’s ZET Foundation.

During the conference, an accompanying video presentation will take place on a promotion truck in front of Pavilion Y.
