The Central Cemetery of the City of Brno was established gradually from 1883 according to the design of architect Alois Prastorfer, who was also the author of its administrative buildings on Vídeňská and Jihlavská Streets, built between 1901-1903. The extensive cemetery is a unique space where numerous personalities of Czech and German nationality are buried, having had a significant impact on the face of the city. We will also not forget the most remarkable work of architect Ernst Wiesner in Brno, the crematorium. Come and be led by Michal Doležel, to honour the memory of our ancestors.
