Rise and intervene. The struggle for a better society

Breaking historical taboos, opposing hatred and extremism, defending the oppressed – all of these require courage. Precisely such self-confident and considered acts are vital for our society, and this is how engaged citizens contribute to social cohesion. Guests from Czechia and Germany, who champion the rights of others and oppose inhuman ideas, will speak about their experiences and their work, and introduce their visions of a better society.

Moderated by Alena Scheinostová (journalist), discussants include the historian Matěj Spurný and the artist Lukáš Houdek (HateFree Culture) from Czech Republic, and the priest Lothar König from Germany.

The programme will be held in Czech and German and will be interpreted.
